INTRODUCTION:
Mariam Menteshashvili has successfully combined her educational background (MA degree in economics and M.Sc. in International Economics & Finance) with 8+ years of working experience in risk management and finance. At the National Bank of Georgia Mariam has gained a significant experience in Operational Risk management and incident management. She has developed the Operational Risk Quantification Model – SMA (Standardized Measurement Approach) according to Basel III and had a leading position in the implementation of project risk management framework and model risk management framework. Currently, under her supervision and management, 16 statistical/economic/mathematical/ financial models are described, assessed, and documented. Her skills and experience include strong multitasking skills, advanced knowledge in quantitative and qualitative research, and strong presentation skills which have been developed with 6+ teaching experience. Additionally, Mariam has passed the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) level I exam, three modules of Certified Actuarial Analyst (CAA) qualification (M0-Fundametnat Mathematics and Statistics, M1-Finance and Financial Mathematics, and M2-Statistics and Models), and Operational Risk Management (ORM) exam issued by Professional Risk Manager’s International Association (PRMIA).
