Introduction:
Davit Zukhbaia is a legal professional with extensive expertise in electronic payments, payment systems, and services. Over the past six years, he has been dedicated to the field of electronic payments at the National Bank of Georgia. He has played a significant role in implementing the EU’s Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2), the Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) Regulation, and the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanism, gaining a deep understanding of both EU and Georgian legislation, as well as the technical aspects of these regulations.
Davit’s career includes serving as the chief legal adviser for the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, specifically in the Telecommunications (ICT) Department. He later transitioned to the National Bank of Georgia, where he continues to provide legal support and currently leads a division in the Payment Systems Department.
